Learning and Professional Development Centre(LPDC) The LPDC is established to advance professional development, integrate teaching resources, and enhance teaching quality at Sudan International University. The Centre helps teachers to develop and renovate their teaching and create effective learning environments, and offers technical support to faculty research and career planning by organizing university-wide training programs and workshops. Mission Statement To be the hub for the continuing enhancement of the variety, value and quality of learning and teaching for all who learn and teach at SIU.

Aims of the LPDC:


Services at the Centre can be largely divided into three branches: faculty development, teaching technology development, and publications; all of which are geared to helping faculty members to improve their teaching.

Sustainability of the LPDC:

The LPDC aims to provide a range of professional development activities, from half day workshops to fully accredited courses. We acknowledge that development needs vary greatly between individuals, faculties and services; therefore we also offer bespoke training and a range of resources to support all forms of learning.

Functions of the LPDC:

The principal function of the LPDC is to promote and support individual and organisational learning in order for SIU to achieve its mission and strategic aims.
